This Privacy Policy explains what information Swapsly collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Swapsly app or website you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — email address and profile details you provide (name, bio, ZIP code, avatar), or the identifier returned when you sign in with Google or Apple.
• Location — approximate and, with your permission, precise device location, used to show you nearby listings and suggest meetup spots. You can control location access in your device settings.
• Photos and content — images and descriptions you upload for listings and requests, and messages you exchange with other users.
• Transaction data — listings, offers, trades, bounties, and their status.
• Device & push tokens — a push-notification token (if you enable notifications) and basic device/usage data for reliability and analytics.

2. How we use information

To operate the marketplace (matching, messaging, offers, and trades), to send you relevant notifications, to keep the service secure and prevent abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.

3. How information is shared

Other users can see your public profile and the content of your listings and requests. We use third-party providers to run the service — including Supabase (data storage and authentication), Expo (app services and push notifications), and Google and Apple (sign-in). We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data retention & deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app; deletion removes your profile, listings, offers, messages, and other personal data. 5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, or to object to certain processing (for example under GDPR or CCPA). To exercise these rights, use in-app account deletion or contact us at support@swapsly.com.

6. Children

Swapsly is not directed to children under 13, and use requires you to be at least 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
